Tears in My Oatmeal

Eyes opened. Snug under covers. Slowly becoming aware of morning light.
Thoughts immediately arrive. Recognition of what day it is emerges.
Negativity of past pains swoom in, replaying over and over. Spinning me down. Anger.
Tried to clear head. Live in the present is thought. No prevail.
Read devotion squinting through pounding sinus headache.
Stress and fear sank to pit of stomach.
Got up.
Made coffee.
Put oatmeal in microwave. Hit button. Broke down.
Tears of frustration.
Tired. Relentless work.  So hard. No results.
Giving too much. Why? Tired. Not happy. Stressed. Burdened.
Breakdown. Comforted. Not long enough. Defensive walls go up in a flash.
Argument prevails.
Nevermind! Leave! Just leave!
I can handle it.  Always do!  Came into this world alone. Will leave it alone.
Apologies. Hugs.
Alone again.
Sit down.
Eat oatmeal. Silence. Tears flow, dropping into oatmeal.
Conversations aloud with God, Higher Source, Angels, Spirit Guides
Anyone listening!
Just me. My oatmeal. Tears dry.
Get ready for work.
Out the door. In the car. On the road.

Tears in my oatmeal.
