We have complicated our lives in so many ways. Food, of course, has not been left out of the madness. Before we start making food more difficult and/or another obsessive compulsive topic that rules your every day thought and provides body image issues, unhealthy symptoms, and we lose the joy of eating, how about we simply stick to the basics as a guideline to overall health .
As a Certified Holistic Lifestyle Coach with Chek Institute, I'd like to share Paul Chek's recommended list of these 10 basic healthy eating habits:
1. Eat right for your Metabolic Type (to take a quiz to find out your type, contact me below)
2. If you can't pronounce a word on the label, then don't eat it.
3. Avoid the four white devils: sugar, flour, processed diary and table salt
4. Juicing: Drink freshly squeezed juice only.
5. The longer the shelf life, the worse it is for you.
6. If it wasn't here 10,000 years ago, don't eat it.
7. Drink water: Ideally following these guidelines:
* drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces per day (i.e.100pound person would drink 50 liters)
* =/> 300 parts per million total dissolved solids
* hardness = / > 170 mg/L
